Whitehouse Estate is set in the Golden Valley and comprises managed forest and pastureland which offer limited recreation

Walking - While none of the property is "open" under the new Countryside Act it is crossed by 4 public footpaths. These are shown coloured brown lettered ABCD and EF on the plan on the Home Page. You can enjoy the wonderful landscape of the Golden Valley and appreciate the wildlife which our activities support.

Hunting- Whitehouse Estate is within the South Hereford Hunt area. Within our 267 acres it is likely that we harbour the odd fox, which occasionally can be a nuisance. Thus control is necessary. Hunting is an effective means of controlling foxes: in woodlands there may be little alternative. Whitehouse Estate favours our local Hunt.

Shooting - Now that a comprehensive thinning of the woodlands has been completed, we will let the shootings over the whole property with effect from autumn 2008, though pre entry may be permitted for the successful tenderer to put game down.

An agreement for a shooting lease is attached, with particulars and a form of tender. Those interested in bidding should complete and return the later to the Trustees of the Estate.
